The book cleverly begins with chapter 101 and makes its way down to chapter 1. If you read this book, you will find out why this is. Sasha thinks that she can see the future, but no-one believes her. And because the book is set during World War 1, these visions of Sasha’s are especially haunting. Eventually, one of her premonitions tells her something terrible about her brother. She must set off on a journey to save him. This, in my opinion, is the most interesting part of the book.

  2. Scary yet exciting book!

This book was amazing. It is quite frightening which is what makes it so exciting and intriguing. It is quite supernatural and magical in some ways, although a lot of it is still realistic which I really liked. If you are looking for something that will keep you on the edge, this book is for you.

At first, I was slightly doubtful when I started reading the book because I felt that the short chapters didn’t let the book flow. But eventually, I became so engrossed in the book that I barely even noticed this anymore. I would certainly recommend this book for ages above 11. I hope that my review has been helpful and has encouraged you to read this fantastic book!

As I started reading this book, I was struck by the similarities between the way WW1 was described, and Covid-19 as an ongoing situation that had been going on for a year yet seemed never ending. I also thought that it was clever how the first chapter was 101 and then went backwards to 100 and so on although I’m not sure what this means yet in the story.
